I have been wargaming, studying and writing the Seven Years War since 1965 and was a founding member of the Seven Years War Association in 1977. I have been an associate editor of The Journal of the Seven Years War Association The Courier. In 1971, I authored Tricorne c., one of the first sets of wargame rules devoted solely to the Seven Years War. The 1977 edition with 1984 revisions is still available. I am in the process of having a third edition published. I am a member and associate of the Company of Military Historians, the Pritzker Military Library and the Newberry Research Library in Chicago. I have lectured and taught at the University of Nebraska, Creighton University and Northwestern University. I currently reside and am an attorney in Omaha, Nebraska. I have practiced law in Omaha and Chicago for 35 years with a concentration on municipal, tax-increment financing, land use and government finance law. I am the President of the Nebraska State Historical Society. I have also worked as a loaned public employee for the United States Agency for International Development in the Ukraine on several occasions helping municipalities develop governance and economic policies.
This blog will be devoted to Mid-eighteenth Century wargaming primarily using my Tricorne c. rules and campaign system first developed in 1971 and modified several times since then.
